Its Christmas!

Wishing you all the Joy and Peace of Christmas.  May you experience the Love and Wonder of our great God, who sent His Only Begotten Son Jesus to save mankind from sin.  He was born in such humble beginnings in a stable, cold, dark, among the animals. He is the heir to all the riches of the world, who chose to be born in the poorest surroundings.  Think of all the preparation that has to take place before a baby is born these days, ensuring good medical care, a nursery at home ready and waiting for the new arrival.  Our God – the King of Kings lay in a manger.  Be humble before Him.  We can only receive Him fully into our hearts if we become humble and open to receive His Love and His Words.

If today you hear His Voice, harden not your hearts

If you read through the scriptures and gospels you will find frequent mention of the words ‘harden not your hearts’ or being ‘blind’.  For years I tried to find the meaning of these words.  Throughout our life experiences we come across people or situations which affect us deeply whether intentionally or unintentionally and so we build up this wall of defence in our hearts, so that we will not get hurt again.  Being ‘blind’ and ‘hardening your heart’ means blotting out the Truth of God, preferring a life of sin.  But if we allow God into our hearts, to take control of our lives, we will start to see the world in a different light.  To live a life with God in control, means living a daily life of consecration and prayer.  Every second, every minute is a gift from God, so give Praise and Glory to Him and rejoice in all creation.  He will bring new joys into your life.  Jesus said “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one goes to the Father except through Me, and no one goes to the Son, except through the Holy Spirit”.  The Holy Spirit will pour out special gifts of understanding, wisdom, love, peace, joy, whatever our souls are in need of.  Such gifts comes from a life of daily prayer.  Start your early morning with a few minutes of Praise and Prayer to God, thank Him for the food you eat, your work, your family, your home, your friends, your faith.  End the day with giving Him thanks and Glory.  We are all called to be Holy, each one of us can save and evangelise another lost soul.  Thank you Jesus.
